The children played the trumpet and the piano, sang solos and sang with their Mom. The family, which is from Guatemala, sang the songs in Spanish. Many of the residents are mothers, fathers, retired teachers and principals so seeing the children, one who is in 4th grade and one in 5th grade, brought back so many happy memories. There were many tears of joy shared that day. The program ended with everyone singing, “This Little Light of Mine.” It was sung in English and Spanish. It was so joyful with all the voices singing as well as the different instruments being played.

If it was for bedpan duties, the aides NEVER made me feel humiliated, which was my biggest fear. That whole bedpan thing, in my opinion, is the most undignified & humiliating experience for anyone. And at 60 yrs of age you don't want anyone cleaning your privates. Yet the aides made the whole experience more tolerable.they were really great. I went from not being able to take 1 step to being discharged in 6 days!
I’m sure Covid, in some regards, has to play a factor. Sadly I’ve accepted that he won’t be leaving Cabrini and he is getting good care. I have encountered the kindest staff on all accounts. The facility has had 2 facility incidents reported in the last 3 years that resulted in a citation. We've seen her improve since her admission to the facility. When we were visiting with her over this past weekend, she told us that she considers herself to be very lucky to be at St. Cabrini's Nursing Home. Her aids and nurses really know her as a person, and truly seem to care.

Hello my grandfather was sent there for short term rehab.i can honestly say that i have had a better experience 10yrs ago when my grandmother was there.The nursing staff is rude an they look at you like your from another planet!!! In February, two of our Cabrini Kids and their Mom sang spiritual songs and played instruments. Truly they gave from their hearts and everyone’s souls were touched.
The children and many in the audience played the tambourine which added even more joy to the program. I have been to Cabrini nursing home many times over the past couple of years to visit someone. This place is by far the best facility that my loved one has been in. There are activities going on through out the facility that you can pick and choose to go to. The food is not bad, the staff is friendly- don't get me wrong, I know there are issues, but there are issues everywhere.
But the nursing care leaves much to be desired. It could be a great facility, but they really need to improve their nursing staff. They work you, yet not to the point of torturing you. The PT dept, I truly believe, is the best anywhere. I was at a different facility for the 1st surgery, and at that other facility my PT for 3 weeks all they did was work my arms.
I just arrived home, from a 12 day rehab, for my hip surgery. St. Cabrini nursing/rehab proved to be a excellent choice! The kitchen, janitorial, therapist , nurses assistant, nurses, P.A. Initially, I was quite apprehensive about receiving my rehab at a nursing home.
